Recently, whilst I was on my break playing a few video games here and there, I noticed that there is a large lack of destructible items in them. For example, if someone is in front of you, but there is a wall in the way, you may have to trek the entire map to find out the player has moved.
Now, I wanted to combat that, so, thanks to a little bit of research and a good hard, long day of mapping, programming and optimizing (still not done after 8 hours..) we have Destruction 1.0.
I know all of you are excited thinking "holy sh*t we can blow everything up". Well no, not exactly.
Right now you can only destroy small buildings and blast the hell out of walls and structures. So at the minute, you can't take down skyscrapers, but at the same time you can blast a rocket through a wall and make the player camping behind it crap himself!
Another thing, as of right now not every wall/surface (blah blah..) will be destructible, lower end PC's can not cope with all the destruction so, we have a little scale, the smaller the map, the more destruction, the larger the map, the less.
So, say goodbye to those pesky campers who sit in corners, do it the WoTS way and blow the hell out of that corner!Destruction Test #2! See it first here!
